Before I was s Christian, I found myself in a courtroom one day, on trial in a criminal case, as the defendant. The charges against me were serious. Was I guilty? YES, but at my araignment I plead not guilty. I lied to the court. I lied to my attorney. I even lied to my dad who bailed me out of jail.
I remember waiting in a room just moments before my trial was to begin. I was stressed out... more that I've ever been stressed out before in my life. Suddenly my attorney came into the room and told me, "The court wants to make a deal with you Larren. If you will

change your plea to "guilty", the court will significantly reduce your sentence. Instead of facing 10 years in prison, they will reduce it to 2 years, and you can serve that 2 years in only 45 days on a work release program." Then, he gave me a little time to think it over.
The Bible says we're all guilty of sin and the wages of sin is death. But God has a plea bargain for us if we would just plead guilty and confess our sins.

Can you guess what I did in that courtroom? I changed my plea to "guilty". I took the plea bargain, and sure enough, the court was faithful to hold up it's end of the bargain.
God is also faithful and just to hold up His end of the bargain if we would simply come to Him, confess our sins, and let Him help us turn from those sins. If you haven't already done so, I'd like to invite you to confess your sins just now.
Pleading Guilty is my personal story. I'd love to share more about this with you. I have an exciting 4 part weekend seminar that I can present in you church. For more information, see the links to the left of this page.
