How will the wicked be punished?

"And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes…making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly."
Answer
The Bible gives us an example of how the wicked will be punished. The example was the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by fire (Genesis 19) and turned into ashes along with all it's wicked inhabitants. The same thing will happen to the wicked at the second resurrection. In Revelation 20 we learn that the wicked are cast into a "Lake of Fire" at the second resurrection. We'll study more about that in our next lesson.
