What standard is God using to judge people?

Answer

Although we are saved by grace through faith, the Bible is clear, we are judged according to our works. It is by grace we are forgiven from our past record of sin, and faith that leads us to repent and turn from those sins which God commands us to turn away from (Acts 17:30). The Bible says, faith without works is dead (James 2:26). Faith is a word of action (see Heb. 11). See also Ecclesiastes 12:14. In other words, a forgiven sinner will cooperate with our forgiving God who wants to work with us to get all sin out of our lives. Many call this work "sanctification" and it is a work that only God can do. The Bibles says, "He who has begun a good work in you will complete it" Philippians 1:6
