Revelation's Anti Christ; A Positive ID

Understanding the Mark of the Beast part 1

One of the greatest stories of faith found in the Bible is the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. In this story, three followers of the true God stand firm in obedience to their God, even if it might mean their death. They are told they must bow down to an image of gold because the king commanded them to. But the God they served had commanded His people not to bow down to any image. They choose to obey God instead of the king, and God is pleased. Even though they are thrown into a fiery furnace, God saves them out of that furnace and His name is honored. The book of Revelation calls us to reflect on stories like this when it talks about a Beast, bowing to an image, and a mark. In the 13th chapter, which talks about events that will happen in the last days, there is a Beast (which represents a king, kingdom or political power) who makes an image, then demands worship. This Beast tries to enforce a law to worship his image by establishing a mark, which is a sign of his authority. The Bible tells us that something similar to what happened with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, is going to happen again to God’s end time people. The question is, who is this Beast in Revelation, and what is his mark? In order to know what the mark of the Beast is, we must first find out who the Beast is. In this lesson, we'll gather clues from the Bible and find out just who this Anti Christ Beast is.
