An acient dream reveals our destiny
One of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time was the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Upon careful examination, we find these ancient scrolls to be virtually identical to our modern Old Testament Bibles today and they are filled with the same predictions about the future. For instance, one of the most notable predictions in the Dead Sea Scrolls is found in Daniel Chapter 2. Here we find one of the most amazing predictions about the future of this world. This prophecy predicted the future of this planet as given in a dream to a king named Nebuchadnezzar, who ruled the entire world during that time. Here’s what happened; Nebuchadnezzar, King of ancient Babylon, conquered and ruled the world in 612 B.C. One of his last conquests was Jerusalem, where he took many captives home with him to Babylon. Among the captives was a God worshipping young man named Daniel. Daniel was taken to Babylon and taught all the ways of the Babylonians. Rather than worship Babylon’s gods, Daniel remained loyal to his God and vowed to obey his God no matter what. God blessed Daniel for this and gave him many talents and much favor in the king’s eyes. One night, the king went to bed thinking about the future of his kingdom. He fell asleep and had a dream. When he awoke, he knew that this dream was no ordinary dream and that it had some inspired meaning. But when he tried to recall just what happened in his dream, he forgot all the details.
