Answer

Realizing that his wise men were really fakes, Nebuchadnezzar commanded to destroy all the wise men. The king didn’t stop to think about it at first, but this death decree included Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego because they were also part of the king's wise men. These four young men, especially Daniel, were favored by the king. They had been found to be 10 times wiser than all the other magicians in the king’s realm. But because of jealousy, they weren’t called or notified when the king wanted his dream made known.
