Question 5
Why do Protestants observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
Bible
Revelation 13:3
"All the world wondered after the beast."
Answer
Many Protestants claim they keep Sunday instead of Saturday because Jesus rose on Sunday, or because the Apostles worshipped on Sunday, or for a number of other reasons. But nowhere in Scripture does the Bible authorize a change in God's Sabbath day. Sunday observance can be traced directly back to the Roman Catholic church. All the world indeed wanders from the truth and follows after the papacy in observing Sunday. The Catholic church claims that in doing this, all Protestants are paying tribute to their religious authority.

"Question: Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept?
Answer: Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her; she couldn't have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day; a change for which there is no Scriptural authority."
