Question 3
What kind of temptations and traps did Jesus face while He was on this earth?
Bible
Matthew 22:15
"Then went the Pharisees and took counsel how they might entangle Him in his talk."
Answer
Jesus was most fiercely opposed by the religious leaders in Israel who were suppose to welcome him as their Messiah. His own people were the ones who tried the hardest to discredit him in his talk. Day after day, new schemes to silence him were tried. The Pharisees, Sadducees, scribes, lawyers, chief priests and even the local Romans were constantly attacking Jesus and setting traps for him. It’s amazing to think that Jesus was able to perform his ministry with such perfection under these conditions.
