Question 11
Is re-baptism ever necessary?
Bible
Acts 19:5
"When they heard this (new truth) they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."

Answer
The story in Acts 19 is about the Apostle Paul who found some men who loved God but hadn’t learned certain truths yet. They had already been baptized once, but when they learned about Jesus and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, they were re-baptized.
1. When significant new truth is learned--- 2. When someone has fallen away from the truth, or backslid into a life of sin, and wants to come back--- 3. When someone realizes they’ve been baptized in a method other than immersion--- A person who falls into one of these categories should consider getting re-baptized. This is not denying their past experience, but acknowledging that Jesus has re-established his place as Master of their lives.
