What beautiful institution does baptism compare to?

Answer
Getting baptized is like getting married. It’s the ceremony that publicly says, “I now belong to Christ”. The Bible says that everyone who has been baptized has put on Christ. When two people get married, they stand up before a judge or a minister, and make a public commitment to each other. Baptism is the institution God has ordained to show that we are “married” to Jesus.
Being “married” to the creator of the Universe comes with some incredible fringe benefits. The Bible says we become joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17), and Christ is the creator of all things! (John 1:3)
