Point 7 says the Beast persecutes God's saints. Does the Papacy fit this description?

Answer

In order to silence “heretics” (people who didn't agree with their teaching), the Roman Catholic Church made war, or persecuted, God’s true saints. It is estimated that the church martyred more than 50 million “heretics” during the dark ages. You can read about protestants being persecuted and killed by the church in books like John Foxe’s Book of Martyrs published in 1563.

Does the Roman Catholic Papacy fit point #7? Did it persecute God's saints?

Yes!

It is well established in history that the church persecuted protestant "heretics".
