Answer

Jesus uses the phrase “Lord, Lord” five times in the Bible. Jesus is the only one to use this phrase in the Bible. Each time He spoke it, he was referring to people who say they know Him, or say they are his followers, or claim to be “Christians” when they really aren’t because they don’t do His will. A heaven-bound person is one who actually knows Jesus and does the will of God.

Below is a list of the other 4 times Jesus used the phrase “Lord, Lord.”

Matthew 7:22-23

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from Me, ye that works iniquity." (Iniquity means "Lawlessness")

Matthew 25:11-12

"Afterward came also the other virgins saying, Lord Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not." (Their lamps didn't have oil)

Luke 6:46

"And why call ye me Lord Lord and do not the things which I say?"

Luke 13:25

"And ye begin to stand without and to knock at the door saying, Lord Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are…depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity."
